The Nightmare, Again The First Knockout Round
On Wednesday I got dissapointed again, and it was the sixth time.
Real Madrid was elimined in Champions League, and for sixth time have been in first knockout round. This season spoke a lot of if that was their year to win it cause they have spent a lot of Euros in contracts, and the final will be in Bernabeu.
If I didn't have enought to be pissed off after the game, I started to recive sms from the friends, laughing about me. But here don't finish all, the day after in the job, my mates where waiting me with a big smile in their faces and asking me "Hey Rubén, have you had a good night, could you sleep tight?".... Arrrggggg. And don't speak about my job mail, during all the working day all the mates sent mails with a ironic jokes about the game.
Now with Real Madrid out of the Champions League and out from the cup is just remaining the league to fight for. But this will not save the season, it's already a failure.
To try to forget this nightmare I will focus on the next world cup of this summer :) giving my hopes on it.
The ads and the advertising are starting to apear this weeks and I have seen this one that really makes me laugh me. Really good.
And then suddenly.... came snow

Yes, as you are reading, today we have had snow in Barcelona city. Always is weird have snow in Barcelona, and just from time to time some year comes something that people says that is snow (bullshits) and truely is not more that sleet, that don't takes more that half and hour to desapear. But today, in March, I can say that we have had snow.
If one day I write whe post "when the water takes the city" today's post should be "When the snow takes the city". The day have started with a big cars traffic, that have take me 1 hour to arrive with car to the job, when normaly it takes me 30 minutes. Until here don't have been a big deal. At 11.00h have start to "snow" the sleet and in the office we had just one kind of conversation "hey, look is snowing" and all the people was looking trought all the big windows that we had on the office. At 15.00h in our break for lunch I have been outside with the "smokers" in their nicotine moment, and the snow started to be a true, and starting to be remaining in the cars and in the grass. And the big moment have been all the afternoon when have continous snowing with a big density until become all white, included the street where the people were walking and where the cars where driving.
If in the morning people talked about "what a nice the snow", in the afternoon they changed it for "how we will arrived home?". And the problem was that all the street were full of snow and a big number of roads to get out/in the city were closed cause the snow, so this mean that people live in a villages outside Barcelona had big problems to arrive to their homes. The boss let to everyone that wanted leave 2 hours before finish the job to try to arrive home before all were worse. And with problem of the closed roads we had to add that all the Barcelona busses were canceled cause the big danger of drive over a "ice ring". Some lines of train were canceled also. Just the only transport that was without problems was the underground (the advantage to be underground).
I have been in the job until the time to finish my journal at 18.30. When I have arrived to the car, not without be trying to keep me stand up doing juggling, I check that it had around 3 fingers of snow over that I had to remove to try to see something to drive. Well as you can imagine with all that I have write move in the city with the cars without special weels for the snow was nightmare, and to do my first 500m I have taken 25 minutes. Yes, 25 minutes to do half kilometer, and this was cause a one main street was closed and the cars where stopped in the middle of a intersection. The traffic light turned on and off many time without that cars had moved any meter. In this cases the best is be patient and try to admit it, I hate people who blow the horn thinking that in this way cars will move.
I have been a good brother and I have gone to pick up my brother despite that he didn't finish until 21.00h so I have had to be for a while waiting for him in the car.
Maybe someone can think that I'm stupid, cause I'm surprise what happens with the snow, but sirs, this is Barcelona and somethink like today just happens ones every 20 years. For me have been the biggest snow in Barcelona that I haven't seen someone like this.
But always have something good to everything and to me this have it also, and it's that whit this weather and with the snow many cars, will have a little crashes... and it means job to me. (I don't desire any injure).
You Know My Name
I have been some weeks without write nothing.
The reasson: Don't have too much time during the week. From january I have been all the days during the week busy, going to work and when work is finished, going to do recovery. At least it doesn't mean that I have had stress, I have taked it with a good philosofy.
From this week I have stopped to do the recovery and the doctor could see how my wrist and back will response. I think that will go good, in the wrist I just have remaining the ligament damaged and in the back... what to say about the back, it's bad from the accident with the car and the doctors says that never will be 100% perfect any more, I will have pain with the changing weather and if I'm stressed.
Now I'm Back
The other day I was driving the car on the city when suddently I saw an advertising poster that take my attention. In it was a blonde girl playing some kind of movie or radio stuff. I didn't have time enought to look it well, but I could read "Absolut Cosmo".
The second time that I pass in front of the poster, I could see that was a Absolut vodka adverstiment.
Reading on internet I could know that the girl that is in the poster is the beautiful and amazing Zooey Deschanel, the girl of the movie 500 days of summer.
Makes feel you good be in a sunny day. Out, without the necessity to carry the big coats.
Last week I had a motorbike crash, where a mopped touched me and I fell down hitting agaisnt a stopped bus. For the kind of crash I didn't done too much injure, it could have been really worse.
Now I'm waiting for the insurance check the damage, but I think that they will consider it as a "full lose" that it means that is more expensive repair it than the price that the motorbike has it.. so I will see if I could have it or I will have to buy a new one.
Yesterday I listened a joke in the radio when I was driving way to the job, I'm gonna try to explain it.

- C'mon son, look, you can see from here France? No, really? And the moon?.....
After a laugh (if you aren't too fool and have get the joke...) I'm gonna write about some thing more serious. Yesterday I had breakfast watching the tv, where in the morning news was speaking about the haiti earthquake. Is hard to understand how can happen things like this. Are expected more than 100.000 died... a really pitty.
Haiti is the more poor country in all south america, in the news or newspapers you can see all the villages destroyed, the hospitals and the big buildings as hospitals or the cathedral. I read that some years ago was in Japan a earthquake similar to this but that time nothing important happens, just some injure people... this is the difference to be in a devenloped country or not.
A thing that I can understand is how everywhere you can see images and videos showing all the died layed in the middle of the street, others between a big stone part of a collapsed house, or people with is sons or relatives deads in their hands. Really is necesary show it on tv?? News and newspapers now a days are a tabloid press, just looking for the drama, and to try to play with it.
And to finish today I have a ask. If when I buy a wool sweeter and I wash it, get smaller... the cheeps get smaller when is raining??

I remember when I was a kid, the emotion on the days before of the kings. Trying to be a good boy and with a good behaviour. That night I went to bed early, and I tried to don't wake up or go to make pee during the night, for in case that they were home leaving the present, don't scare they and go without leave it.
Now don't happens this, the emotion on the days before, have changed for the hurry between shops and malls shopping some presents to my relatives. And yesterday I was looking for a present to my brother that I finally I didn't have time and I didn't find it. But tomorrow I will go after work to buy it, and if I'm lucky it will be with a discount cause the sales that starts tomorrow.
I have get a special bag for carry the lunch to the job, a shirt, a sweater, a jacket and €€€€.
Today Luis and Olga came to dinner with us, and as every 6 january we have eaten king cake to as a dessert. I have found the king and I got the crown (that I still wearing right now, hehe) and Luis got the bean that it means that he have to pay the cake... fortunatly for him, haven't done it.
Last weeks I have been watching enought movies. The main reason that I have been watching it is that is a good way to improve my english, becuase after start to watch some movie in original version, if you see it again with a spanish voices, you imposible don't say WTF IS THIS SHIT!!
Even Portugal watch it in original version... arrgggggg!

Began the year being in my brother's apartment where I went to sleep, trying to pass in the best way the little hangover that I had from the new year party, that was on until 9.00h in the morning in some differents pubs around Marina. Amazing night!!
Finally last wednesday we finished with our Christmas shop and it means have more time for myself, to enjoy the Christmas and for sleep on the weekends morning... God bless the free weekends, Aleluya!!
Tomorrow starts the last week in the year, so do the last effort and try to be good guys if you want that the magic kings bring you a lot of presents... even never is bad be a little naughty.. hihi.
Saturday night fever, but I don't mean the famous movie of John Travolta, I mean the exacty meaning of the words, be saturday night lay down the bed with 38,5 degrees of fever...

Almost in the end of the working week and with my battery also almost empty.

The worse of all is that people pay the ticket for the cinema and they get out with a smile in their faces.. is like you pay for that someone rape you.

Starts the ski
First of all... Happy New Year!!
Began the year being in my brother's apartment where I went to sleep, trying to pass in the best way the little hangover that I had from the new year party, that was on until 9.00h in the morning in some differents pubs around Marina. Amazing night!!
Yesterday Sergio, Kike and me went to Andorra, to sky our first time this seasson. We didn't get up too early and we found queue of cars to get inside Andorra because of a car accident. So we started to sky at noon, but was enought. After the fisrt down, I felt my legs like I haven't done any sport last 5 years, OMG what a pain in they, haha. The snow was really good and wasn't full of people but the weather wasn't so good.. clouds, and for this was a some one zone with ice.
After sky we went down to the center of Andorra to buy some things cause is cheaper that in Spain, and they are already in sales and here will starts on thursday. And you can imagine what we bought, the typical when you are there, cigarretes, alcohol, clothes, perfums, and some electronic stuff..
This afternoon I have been with Victor, Jaume and Julia. I went to Corbera, where Victor lives and he is doing as a sheep-man or better say the man who has sheep and takes care of them, in the representation of the Jesus-born in the montain.
And now that we have started a new year, people do purposes. The most commun are purposes like, quit smoke, do more exercice, bla bla bla... and after a month (in the best cases) they have forget it, I don't do any purpose for this year trying to lie to myself, I'm just goona try to continuous as until now and don't change, that until now have been good.
Last week of 2009
Finally last wednesday we finished with our Christmas shop and it means have more time for myself, to enjoy the Christmas and for sleep on the weekends morning... God bless the free weekends, Aleluya!!

Saturday Night Fever
Saturday night fever, but I don't mean the famous movie of John Travolta, I mean the exacty meaning of the words, be saturday night lay down the bed with 38,5 degrees of fever...
I had to work all the weekend in our christmas shop, but yesterday after lunch in started to feel bad with a little pain in the head and in the body like if I had been running a marathon.. I taked an aspirin waiting if I get recover but I didn't so I deciced to go home and lay down on the bed. And from yesterday at 17.00h that I went bed I have been in it.
I have put the thermometer three hours ago and I hadn't fever, and is true that now I feel better and I don't feel the same pain in the body as yesterday. And the point is that I have to feel good for tomorrow because on tuesday is a red day and tomorrow will be my second day on the new job and if I can't go to work and I say I'm sick they gonna think that I'm not and I don't go to work because I have take the four days to go out Barcelona... and this is not a wellcome to me.
Yesterday I spent all the afternoon sleeping and this morning the same, so I don't know what I'm gonna do tonight to try fall asleep...
